Let’s get together. Bring a pair of eyes, an open mind, and just a dash of video geek.
Fresh from my render queue, I’m proud to present the next installment in the hastily-edited-during-the-festival series, featuring Deadmau5 and Scott Pagano from their performance at Neumos last night.
You can find coverage of Thursday at the festival here: Decibel Festival 2008 Thursday Quickie
I’m writing from the mezzanine of the Grey Gallery on 11th ave in Seattle. I’ve just finished editing some of the footage I shot at Neumos during the first night - featuring music from Careen Ajar, Balún, Tujiko Noriko, Barbara Morgenstern and Jahcoozi. Visuals were handled by Scott Pagano, KillingFrenzy, yours truly (Momo the Monster), LowRez, and help on visuals and lights by Tracer Visuals (Scott Sun).
I’ll be doing visuals for Balún at the Deconstructing Pop showcase at the Decibel Festival on September 25. This is me trying out one of my new Quartz Composer patches while listening to one of their songs.
This is where I’ll be next weekend, if anyone’s looking for me: Hopping from venue to venue with my new camera as I soak in the sights and sounds of an incredible and diverse lineup at the year’s Decibel Festival.
From the site:
“2008 marks the 5th anniversary of the Decibel Festival, an annual event held in Seattle that has now become one of North America’s preeminent electronic music events. To coincide with this landmark year, Decibel has planned its most ambitious festival to date; featuring more than 120 acts representing 12 different countries, organized within 25 showcases across 11 different venues.
