OSC for Audiovisual Collaboration Workshop on November 6th

Join us Sunday, November 7th for a series of discussions about Open Sound Control, led by local audiovisual artists who use it in their creations.

Gabe Shaughnessy

will present his basic techniques for sending MIDI, OSC and other controller values over a network for live, collaborative AV productions. He will lift the basic barriers to entry into using OSC, showing how to use OSCulator and Quartz Composer to work with Open Sound Control.

.

Momo the Monster

will talk about how he has been abstracting songs into OSC – simplifying them in a natural way for easier collaboration, presenting some real-life examples from his work with American Werewolf. He will show the custom Max4Live plugins he’s developing to implement this system, and open up the idea of abstraction for wider discussion.

.

Sunday, November 7th, noon to 5pm, with an hour lunch from 2-3pm.

at Zoomtopia – 810 SE Belmont
